February Board Votes

Draft of letter to affiliated groups from Pompei:

Draft of blurb for other groups to share our website.
Dear NAME OF ORGANIZATION On behalf of VCGP group (Veterinary Cancer Guidelines and Protocols) we are reaching out to ask you to consider the following:
  • Permission to share a link to your website on our group’s website under groups with similar objectives
  • Adding a link to our website (https://vcgp.org/) onto your website.
The board members of VCGP have identified NAME OF ORGANIZATION as a group that shares similar goals. As we will be creating more documents that will be available for public consultation, we strongly believe that your members would have an interest in many of our initiatives, and we wanted to increase awareness about what both our groups our doing. It is a win-win situation. The goal of the website and the mission of VCGP is to improve care for pets with cancer through standardization of tumor evaluation and reporting. There are no published guidelines for the methods of the common parameters used by veterinary pathologists. This website is designed to address this need. VCGP created these guidelines and protocols as centralized resources for veterinary anatomic and clinical pathologists to assist in reporting and gathering relevant information about aggressive tumors. It is a living document that will be updated and is a continuation of manuscripts published in Veterinary Pathology in 2011 and 2021. We look forward to hearing back from you and engaging with your members for a brighter future of veterinary oncology!
